On the North coast of West Penwith, the far Celtic/Iron Age coast of tin mining Cornwall, the deep narrow wave hewn clefts in the cliffs are known locally as Zawns. At low tide some have beaches that are exposed, sometimes sandy, sometime boulder strewn, where seaweed, driftwood, flotsam and jetsam collect and always worth the dangerous scrabble down the cliff to investigate. Lamps are signed by the artist. Slate base from Cornwall's Delabole quarry.
